Bio

Christian Lindquist lives on the islands outside Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden, with it's stunning nature it is easy to be creative and find inspiration. Christian has played the piano since he was a kid and studied music in high school. In his mid twenties he made a lot of commercial jingles and some bigger interactive media projects.

In 2007 Lindquist started sitting at the piano - often before breakfast - playing “something,” while recording it.
The result is 3 albums, Solo Piano Diary, Solo Piano Diary II and Solo Piano Diary III.
Christian's piano music is widely used by SPA's and hospitals for meditation and relaxation. The style is quiet, introspective, and deeply personal. Most of the pieces are simply titled with the dates and the pieces are mostly short, 1 1/2 - 3 1/2 minutes in length.

Christian Lindquist been able to discover more of his own inner world with his piano diary and he hopes that his music will help many others to do so as well.

Why

I have always liked the sunrise, the freshness of an early morning. That has also become my time and very often I sit down and play my piano. I push record and play until the inspiration is out. The choice of keeping a recording is depended on how it makes me feel.

“Solo Piano Diary” is about my feelings, mood and my hunger for expression.
Playing in a diary form is a quest for honesty, where suddenly the tone that was insipid yesterday is inspired today. The piano diary has become a way for me to verify my soul and to whittle truth out of my heart. The melodies are therefore a profound mix of pain and of peace.

I hope that my musical diary is a bearer of (e)motion which helps you as a listener to flow in the right direction…
